What is MLA?
MLA (Modern Language Association) is a citation style widely used in the humanities. It uses parenthetical citations in text that correspond to an alphabetical list of works cited. MLA is maintained by the Modern Language Association of America, the professional organization for scholars of language and literature in the United States.
