Adding a Box

  • Click on the   Add Box --Column
  • Name your box and save
  • If you want a box without a title choose:

Display box without borders, padding, or box title. The title will appear on the Guide Edit screen so you can get to the Edit menu / Delete button, but will not appear in public view.

  • Choose the "Reuse Existing Box" tab and find the Guide and box you would like to reuse or map
  • If you think you will want to make changes to the borrowed box choose:

Create a copy of this box rather than mapping to the original. If you select this option, changes made to the original box will not affect this copy you are creating. By checking this box you will be creating copies of existing assets, adding them to your repository.

  • Use the Add /Reorder menu to choose the asset you need for your box.

Adding Text and Images

  • Choose Rich Text/HTML from the Add/Reorder drop down menu.
  • A text editor page will appear
  • To add an image use the image icon  and browse for the image.
  • You can set up an image library and draw from that as well.
  • Go to the  "Content" menu  and choose "Image Manager"
  • From here you can add an image to a "Personal library" or to a "Shared library."  You can also create folders for the types of images that you are storing.
  • Be to sure to provide alternative text for all of the images you load or use.

Adding Databases to your Box

To put a list of databases together if you add each one separately you can control the order they come in . Use "Database" under Add/Reorder. If you use the Subject Databases group it will come up in alphabetical order indicating "Best Bets."

Please review the rankings for the databases on the A-Z List "All Subjects" in your liaison areas and tell your administrator if you want them to be changed from "Best Bet," to a mention at the bottom of the list, or to be taken off all together.
