There are six options for guide types. The default types are Course, Subject, Topic, General Purpose, Internal, and Template. To change a type go "Admin Look and Feel" then to "Language Options" , open "Language Customization" and choose "Global" from the list. Scroll down to see the default guide names and then make any changes needed. This needs to be done by an Admin.
