Pew Research Center
Pew is a nonpartisan fact tank. They do extensive public polling of social and political issues. They also investigate social patterns, such as trends in information consumption and social media use.
Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
Founded in 1981, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities is a research and policy institute that aims to " promote economic justice; improve health; broaden opportunity in areas like housing, health care, employment, and education; and lower structural barriers for people of color and others in communities that continue to face systemic barriers to opportunity." Contains information about federal and state budgets along with data about a range of topics including poverty and inequality, housing, and immigration.
Southern Poverty Law Center

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
