The Center: 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection of LaCrosse and Winona
Located in La Crosse, "Since 2004, The Center: 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection has been working on behalf of the LGBTQ community to develop and expand understanding of human sexuality, gender identity and the need for equal treatment." They host special events, groups that meet regularly, and provide services to the LGBTQ community and their allies. One of these groups is Andromeda, "a social and support group for LGBTQ adults and their allies ages 18+. Andromeda creates a safe and drug-free space where adults can openly discuss their lives, participate in games and activities, and become educated about the important issues facing the LGBTQ+ community today."
National & International Resources

GSA clubs "are student-run organizations that unite LGBTQ+ and allied youth to build community and organize around issues impacting them in their schools and communities. GSAs have evolved beyond their traditional role to serve for safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth... and have emerged as vehicles for deep social change related to racial, gender, and educational justice." GSA Network focuses on training youth leaders, supporting youth organizing, and building the GSA movement.
Q Chat Space is a community for LGBTQ+ teens. "Find and give support, have fun, connect around shared interests and get good information. Chat with like-minded peers in live chats designed for you & by you, facilitated by folks who care."
