The Minneapolis campus library has a physical collection of psychological assessment test manuals and their corresponding forms. These tests are available to check-out for students and faculty from the MPY, MFT, and PsyD programs.
For more information on borrowing assessment tests, visit the Borrow, Return, Renew page on the library's website.
Psychological tests and measures tend to have stricter copyright and use rules than traditional library materials like article subscriptions and books. According to the APA page on Test Security "[i]t should be recognized that certain tests used by psychologists and related professionals may suffer irreparable harm to their validity if their items, scoring keys or protocols, and other materials are publicly disclosed."
Access to assessment manuals, test booklets, scoring keys, and any other test materials is meant for qualified psychologists and other professionals. Students are allowed to use these materials for their research and training when directly supervised by a psychologist or other qualified supervisor.
These restrictions are why the library limits the physical test collection to the MPY, MFT, and PsyD departments.
