Located in La Crosse, "Since 2004, The Center: 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection has been working on behalf of the LGBTQ community to develop and expand understanding of human sexuality, gender identity and the need for equal treatment." They host special events, groups that meet regularly, and provide services to the LGBTQ community and their allies. One of these groups is Andromeda, "a social and support group for LGBTQ adults and their allies ages 18+. Andromeda creates a safe and drug-free space where adults can openly discuss their lives, participate in games and activities, and become educated about the important issues facing the LGBTQ+ community today."

GSAs have evolved beyond their traditional role to serve for safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth... and have emerged as vehicles for deep social change related to racial, gender, and educational justice." GSA Network focuses on training youth leaders, supporting youth organizing, and building the GSA movement.
